Domaine Louis Boillot

Domaine Louis Boillot is overseen by Clément, the son of Louis Boillot and Ghislaine Barthod (of Domaine Ghislaine Barthod). In recent years, this rising star has been the driving force behind both domaines as his parents start to take a step back, giving him space to exercise his considerable talent across their magical array of vineyards. Louis inherited his Volnay vineyards, plus a few in the Côte de Nuits, from his father and now has around seven hectares of organically-farmed vines in the Côtes de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, with impressive village and premier cru holdings in both. Louis and Clément also have a remarkable concern further south in Moulin-à-Vent, making Pinot Noir-like Beaujolais, from the region’s Gamay grape. They like to pick early to preserve freshness, and their Burgundy has a wonderful juicy drinkability.
