This fantastic XO Calvados is made by the Drouin family has been matured in a combination of ex-Bordeaux, ex-sherry and ex-Cognac casks, creating a warm mix of intense fresh apple, tarte tatin, and ginger aromas. There's a distinct nutty, sea breeze character to the calvados thanks to the choice of casks and long ageing has inbued a slight rancio note, although it remains fresh.
