2022 Sk'windjiesvlei Tinta Barocca, A.A. Badenhorst, Swartland
Tinta Barocca is one of the great grapes of the Swartland, and this comes from a single vineyard planted in 1966. Floral and intense, and almost bloody in character, this is remarkably well balanced, and very long indeed.

Along with his friend Eben Sadie, Adi Badenhorst has always been a great advocate of Tinta Barocca. This one comes from a parcel on decomposed granite and ferricrete soils and is typically wild and gutsy, with flavours of damson, fig and Mediterranean herbs, racy acidity and impressive underlying backbone and structure. 2024-30
