2018 Cuvée Cinema Pinot Noir, Crystallum, Walker Bay
Comes from a 1.6ha plot on Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Nice berry fruit, plenty of weight on the palate, and also lovely texture and length. Really nice tannins, blue fruit and excellent fleshy character. Nice drive, comes back together on the finish beautifully, with blood orange and other citrus notes. Really pretty on the finish.

As he is for Crystallum's Clay Shales Chardonnay, André de Lange supplies the grapes for this superb Pinot Noir. With 50% whole bunches, 30% new wood and the freshness and perfume that are typical of wines from the Ridge, this has notes of cinnamon spice, rose petal and wild strawberry and a refreshing, saline undertone.
