84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot. Something of a baby Monte Bello, from the same blocks that produced the iconic wine in the 1960s (since replanted). Dark in the glass with black cherry, dark plum, black olive, soy aromas, and a lifted dried rose petals note. On the palate there is more aromatic spice like juniper and fresh mint, along with cedar. The tannins are broad and mouth-coating, with mineral notes on the long finish.
