2019 Pinot Noir, El Molino, Rutherford

From the winery: "The 2019 Pinot noir displays a deep ruby-red color with a pale red rim. Darker than usual notes of black cherry, Santa Rosa plum, black tea, clove, and soy. The aromas render a very deep complex wine that has energy and tautness. Supporting notes of clove, orange rind, fennel, cardamom, and pomegranate add depth and interest. The palate is fresh with lovely vibrancy, leading to a powerful midpalate full of energy and bright red flavors of bing cherry, strawberry, and pomegranate. The tannins are firm but integrated, providing grip and definition. A piquant, long, and persistent finish hints at the age-ability of this wine. Decant and enjoy now or hold for 12 to 15 years in your cellar."
