Grown on some of Cabernet’s favourite terroir, this is a brilliant expression of the variety. Rich, powerful blackcurrant and bramble notes are uplifted by fine, juicy acidity and a mineral backbone. There’s real complexity here too, with layers of dark chocolate, sweet spice and black tea. The tannins are ripe but firm, hinting at the wine’s ageworthiness and the finish just keeps going. Napa exuberance, with Bordeaux poise.
