The full, round and weighty 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Cru Wairau, while shapely, is well-formed thanks to both texture and tension that runs through the core of the wine, keeping it all reined in. There are pure Sauvignon Blanc flavors, but of the less flamboyant kind: elderflower, nettle, lime and the merest note of flint.
