Made from a selection from the San Marcellino vineyard, this wine is only produced in high quality vintages. A small vineyard that is majority old vines, the wine has 5-10% of the indigenous Pugnitello grape added, a Tuscan grape that brings colour and perfume to the wine. The wine spends 25 months in oak prior to bottling and remaining in the bottle for 2 years. Black berry fruits with wild herbs and hints of vanilla and clove spice. The tannins are chalky and firm and the core is concentrated and juicy.
