From a 1 hectare site of steep granitic slopes, this is a little closed for now with a chiselled feel to the tannins. Quite straight and focused there is a sinewy tension on the palate clothed in red cherry fruits, a little sanguine note, and hint of liquorice root and pepper on the finish. More structured and tense, this will age gracefully in the coming years.
