The Solitude Red is a beautiful, seamless and very finessed style. The wine is largely aged in cement and the rest in older barrels which helps to preserve the aromatic intensity. Aromas of wild cherry, blood orange flow across the palate with a hint of violets and aniseed. The tannins are very fine and well clothed by the fruit. A feeling of salted liquorice and red hedgerow fruit infuses the long finish.
