The 2023 Vieux Donjon is a beautiful mid-weight Châteauneuf hitting all the classic notes of garrigue, wild cherry, and blood orange. The palate is fresh and full of energy with a delicate, sandy-textured grip of tannins creating tension. The aromatics on the this wine are very pure and well-defined with a long, liquroice-tinged finish. Bravo!
