2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Giraud
This comes from old vines, 50-80 years old, from parcels across Châteauneuf-du-Pape. 2021 was a small vintage for Domaine Giraud but the result is a beautiful balance between the innate power of Châteauneuf fruit and the restraint and delicacy that can be achieved by careful elevage. It's very fragrant, with a silky feel and soft tannins. There's plenty of garrigue character and a bright freshness on the finish.
