This is a highpoint in the Horées cellar, which now has more backbone than in the early vintages. It should have the longest drinking window of the 2023s, and while most of Catharina’s wines drink so well from youth, I’d urge patience for this one. It has a superb, floral acidity, with real intensity and drive. Mineral and spicy, with a touch of blood orange on the finish. Utterly superb and only made in tiny quantities.
