2023 Chambolle-Musigny Clos le Village, Domaine Felettig
As the name suggests, this monopole vineyard is situated in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny. At 0.5 hectares, it is the Felettigs’ largest single parcel. There’s lots of limestone in the soil here, and the 50-year-old vines dig deep. The 2023 is open and inviting on the nose with a broadness from the oak wrapped around the floral fruit detail.

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Clos le Village has subtle chalky scents on the nose neatly embroidered with redcurrant and cranberry notes. The palate is medium-bodied with a silky texture. This is not a powerful Chambolle but it has firm, well-balanced tannins and a fresh, limestone-influenced finish. One of Felettig's most underrated cuvées does it again.
