This wine opens with flavours of black cherry, violets with a creamy, caressing feel on the palate. The finish is very detailed with dark berry fruits and a little liquorice.

The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières is understated on the nose, with a mixture of red and black fruit, rose petals and light blueberry scents. This is Vosne-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied and lightly spiced with finely spun tannins and a touch of cracked black pepper. This is an animated Aux Lavières that I feel might shade the previous vintage. It's very fine, very nuanced.
