The 2023 Branas Grand Poujeaux has one of the most floral bouquets I have encountered within the appellation. It bursts with violet-infused black fruit, showing impressive delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, cohesive and demonstrating good backbone. Crucially, it is less austere and bitter on the finish, completing a superb Moulis-en-Médoc.

Softness and finesse to this red with blackberries, blackcurrants and light chocolate undertones. Hazelnuts, too. Medium body, fine tannins and a creamy-textured finish.
