Perhaps the vintage that elevated Poyferré in many people’s eyes. The 2002 is a very complete style, exudes harmony with a velvet-like mouthfeel. The fruit characters here are of dark berry, blackcurrant, again with a deep-knit almost liquorice-like note. Very classy indeed, striking purity with impressive persistence.
