Enzo Tiezzi

A winemaking consultant by trade, there’s little in Montalcino that Enzo Tiezzi hasn’t done. He’s been winemaker at countless estates, but finally bought his own estate in the 1980s. Vigna Soccorso is the vineyard that surrounds the estate’s buildings, in the shadow of Montalcino’s town walls. It holds a unique place in the history of Brunello: it was a wine from here that won some of Brunello di Montalcino’s first international plaudits in trade fairs in Rome, Paris, and Marseille in 1870s.
