Domaine André Perret
André Perret makes some of the finest Condrieu in the appellation and has built up a loyal following. His Viogniers balance richness and freshness perfectly, with classic peach and apricot aromas - the ideal expression of this classic Rhône white. He took control in 1985, bolstering the domaine’s reputation and making improvements in the cellar. He has recently been joined by his daughter Marie, who after a stint making wines in Chile and California, is bringing her enthusiasm to the family domaine. They farm 4.8 hectares of Viognier vines, with their top wine coming from the prized Côteau de Chéry vineyard. They also have a further five hectares of vines in St Joseph from which they produce a few wines, including Saint-Joseph, Les Grisières which comes from old vines grown on the steep slopes in the north of the appellation.
