Champagne Thiénot

Alain Thienot defied the traditions of Champagne to set up his own house in just 1985, drawing on over two decades of knowledge about the finest vineyard crus. Having been a wine broker and invited to seek out exceptional grapes on behalf of some of the top Champagne houses, setting up on his own was a natural step and one which has resulted in the creation of a forward-thinking and contemporary Champagne house. His ascent to fame has included securing sponsorship of the Thienot Yacht Cup Race, supplying the official champagne for the 85th Oscars Pre-Show and Governors Ball and a partnership with Australian winemaker, Penfolds. His work is aided by his children, Stanislav and Garance, who have joined in the family business, and Nicolas Uriel as Cellar Master.
